Texans vs. Saints: Live updates, game stats, highlights for ‘Monday Night Football’

Things are heating up in the second half as the Houston Texans and New Orleans Saints battle Monday night in the Bayou.

The Saints had one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL last year, but only mustered three points in the opening half. It appeared as though New Orleans was on its way to points on its second drive, but Drew Brees threw an uncharacteristic red zone interception — his first in 105 attempts. The Texans’ offense then took the field, and Deshaun Watson launched a 54-yard pass to Will Fuller, a play which jumpstarted Houston’s offense, and led to its first scoring drive of the game. Watson was the one who finished it off, running it in from 21 yards out. The third-year quarterback went down hard, however, and spent the next few minutes in the medical tent being examined.

While Watson did return to the game, his work did not get easier. He has been sacked twice and knocked down several times.
